Community Branding & Strategy - Historic Uniontown

Connecting a close-knit historic village through modernized communication and unified design
The Challenge
Historic Uniontown is a deeply connected community with a rich tradition of volunteer-led events. However, as the neighborhood grew, participation began to wane due to outdated communication methods. Relying on a massive, CC-heavy email list meant that important event invitations and neighborhood updates were increasingly being blocked by platforms' spam filters.
The Solution
Stepping in as a passionate resident and volunteer, I completely overhauled our communication infrastructure. I migrated the neighborhood to a Zoho Workspace to organize distribution groups and integrated the Email Octopus platform to ensure reliable, spam-free delivery.
Beyond the technical setup, I saw an opportunity to bring visual pride to our communications. I developed a cohesive brand identity for our historic village, transforming plain-text updates into beautifully designed, inviting email campaigns. Today, these vibrant communications not only drive higher engagement and event turnout, but they also celebrate the spirit of an amazing community that I am incredibly proud to call home.
